Mrs. Karen Jean Clark, 68, of Lebanon, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, while surrounded by her family. She was born in Lebanon on Nov. 11, 1947, the only child of the now late Gene Earnest and Eleanor June (Adair) Weber.
She was a lifelong resident of Boone County and a 1966 graduate of Lebanon High School.
On July 8, 1966, she was married to Larry A. Clark at the First Baptist Church in Lebanon; he survives. They recently celebrated 50 loving years together.
Karen worked at the Lebanon Middle School for many years as the athletic director and as a secretary in the front office, retiring in 2012.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. Karen's interests included crafting, sewing, traveling and showing dogs. She was a member of Preceptor Delpha Rho sorority in Lebanon.
Survivors include husband, Larry A. Clark of Lebanon; two children, Donald G. Clark and wife, Tammé, of Pleasant Hill, Mo., and Rebecca S. "Becky" Nichols and husband, Scott, of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Brittleé M. Clark of Pleasant Hill, Brantley C. Clark of Pleasant Hill, Kayla S. Fortner and husband, Nick of Lebanon and Kyle E. Miller of Lebanon; and great-granddaughter, Lillyan Fortner.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary, with Pastor Jason Grubbs officiating.
