Margaret Sharp, 85, of Frankfort, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Wesley Manor in Frankfort. She was born in Frankfort on Aug. 6, 1931.
Margaret was a 1949 graduate of Kirklin High School. Following her graduation, her family moved to Indianapolis.
She was first married to Hoover Randolph; they later divorced. Margaret then married the Rev. Fred Sharp on Sept. 25, 1993. Rev. Sharp passed away on Dec. 4, 1994.
Margaret had worked at Indiana Bell for over 25 years. After retiring from the telephone company, she worked for Indiana Brass in Frankfort, and helped her husband on pastoral calls.
She was very active in 7th Christian Church, serving on the board for several years. She was a den mother for the Boy and Girl Scouts, and president of the Little League Auxiliary.
Margaret moved back to Lebanon in 1973, and began attending Central Christian Church. She served as a deaconess and chairperson of the worship department, sang in the choir, and organized many dinners. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Club and the Zionsville Christian Church.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include children, Tommy Joe Randolph of Kentucky, Brian Keith Randolph of Thorntown and Mary Ann Ackman of Brownsburg; five grandchildren, Catherine, Heather, Jamie, Jessica and Jason; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Jean Randolph; and a son, Michael Randolph.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 23, at the mortuary. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
