Mrs. Margaret Louise Warburton, 81, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, at Hickory Creek at Lebanon. She was born in Clinton County on Sept. 28, 1934, the daughter of the now late Rolland Medford Kelley and Mary Katherine (Wood) Kelley.
She was raised on a farm in Kirklin, and was a 1952 graduate of Kirklin High School. Following high school, she attended Butler University for two years.
On Sept. 27, 1953, she was married to Charles William Warburton in Hillisburg. Charles preceded her in death on Aug. 27, 2012.
Margaret moved to Lebanon in 2011, where she had resided since. She taught piano for many years, and worked at the Bethesda Christian Schools in Brownsburg for 10 years.
As a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she loved her family dearly. In addition, Margaret enjoyed gardening and music.
She was a member of Grace Church in Lebanon, Elizaville Baptist Church in Elizaville and the Boone County Symphony Unit.
Survivors include two children, Stephen W. Warburton of Lebanon and Myra L. Traylor and husband, David, of LaGrange; daughter-in-law, Cathy Warburton of Lebanon; five grandchildren, Nathaniel C. Traylor and wife, Cassidy, of Mason, Ohio, Rennington R. Traylor and wife, Tara, of Naperville, Ill., and Tyler J. Warburton, Charles L. Warburton and Victoria P. Warburton, all of Lebanon; and
great-grandchildren, William Traylor and Benjamin Traylor, both of Mason.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Margaret was preceded in death by a brother, E. Wayne Kelley, and a son, David C. Warburton.
Private family services were held Aug. 28 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Pastor Ken Collins officiated. Interment followed at Browns Wonder Cemetery in Lebanon.
