Marilynn Edwards Walkup, 82, of Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017, at her residence. She was born in Indianapolis on Aug. 22, 1934, the daughter of the now late Robert Phillips and Florence (Reed) Phillips.
She was a 1952 graduate of Ben Davis High School.
Marilynn was married on June 28, 1991, in Gatlinburg, Tenn., to Steven F. Walkup; he survives.
Marilynn spent 10 years living in Lake Placid, Fla., before moving back to Lebanon. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Marilynn took get pride in being a homemaker, and enjoyed bowling, gardening and yardwork.
Survivors include husband, Steven F. Walkup of Lebanon; children, Billy Edwards Jr. and wife, Tammy, of Alamo, Ind., Artie Edwards and companion, Kathy, of Lebanon, Joey Edwards and companion, Cindy, of Wallace, Gene Walkup and wife, Mary, of Lebanon, Tamara Sanders of Lebanon, Dawn Harms of Iowa, Terry Sahifie of California, Angie Bolante and husband, Allan, of Brownsburg, and Steven Walkup II of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 26 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Marilynn was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Phillips Jr.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services are planned for 6 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Cremation has been entrusted to Boone County Crematory in Lebanon.
Memorials may be made in her honor to a charity of the donor's choice.
