Mrs. Marjorie Joan Hine, 91, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at Signature Healthcare at Parkwood in Lebanon. She was born on Nov. 19, 1925, in Lebanon, the daughter of the now late Frank Glendenning and Mozelle (Clifton) Glendenning.
Marjorie was a 1943 graduate of Perry Central High School. She then earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University.
She was married to Kenneth A. Hine on Sept. 12, 1948, in Lebanon. Mr. Hine passed away on Oct. 6, 2002.
Marjorie had worked helping her husband on the family farm. She also was Clerk of the Church at Pleasant View Church. Marjorie spent over 30 years playing the organ and piano at the church as well.
A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Marjorie enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening and playing the organ. She was a member of the Pleasant View Church in Lebanon.
Survivors include children, Danny Hine and wife, Jackie, of Lebanon, and Steve Hine and wife, Debbie, of Lebanon; grandchildren, Jason Hine and wife, Kelli, Bret Hine and wife, Leslie, Stacy Hine and Kelly Hine; and great-grandchildren, Robbie Hine, Evan Hine, Caden Hine and Ethan Hine.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
