Maurice F. Winkler Jr., 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, at the Town House Retirement Community in Fort Wayne.
He was born May 9, 1929, in Indianapolis, to Maurice F. Winkler Sr. and Hazel (Richards) Winkler.
Mr. Winkler was the head of international sales for Stewart Warner Alemite Corp. in Charlotte, N.C., before retiring in 1995.
He was a member of Boone Masonic Lodge No. 9 of Lebanon, Indianapolis Scottish Rite and the Indianapolis Marat Shrine.
Maurice married Suzanne (Harrah) Winkler in San Marcos, Texas; she survives in Fort Wayne.
He is also survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Maurice F. III and Susan Winkler of Waterloo; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy A, and Keith Rice of Rushville; two grandchildren, Jan Marie (Greg) Hewitt and Maurice F. (Megan) Winkler IV; and two great-grandchildren, Cora Hewitt and Gregory Hewitt.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Corrine Fulk.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, at the Chapel at Towne House Retirement Community, 2209 St. Joe Center Rd., Fort Wayne. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel. A private family graveside service will be Tuesday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
