Maxine L. Harmon, 89, Lebanon, passed away Nov. 28, 2016, at her home. She was born Oct. 3, 1927, in Indianapolis.
Maxine was a homemaker, and enjoyed playing bingo, cards, crafting and crocheting. She also served as the treasurer of Boone County Senior Services, Inc.
Maxine had been a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and was a member of the Zionsville American Legion Post 79 Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Harmon; her daughters, Millie Rose Philips and Sherry Lu Hofer-Clark; and her stepdaughter, Janie Harmon.
Maxine is survived by her children, Terry S. (Mike) Klepfer, Jerry L. (Sue) Hofer, Harold E. (Dawn) Hofer II, Jean E. (Marc) Stump, Harry J. Hofer and Lori A. Robinson; her stepchildren, Ron (Janet) Harmon, Donna Thomas and Harold Harmon; 28 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her son-in-law, Norm Philips.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 30, and also from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at Flanner and Buchanan- Zionsville, 105 W. Pine St., Zionsville. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens.
