Mildred F. Cravens, 80, of Greentown, formerly of Thorntown, passed away at 9:28 p.m. Monday, May 29, 2017, at Community Howard Regional Health, Kokomo. She was born Dec. 21, 1936, in Jefferson City, Tenn., to Joshua and Nora Mildred (Rankin) Bailey.
Mildred married Jack L. Cravens on Aug. 11, 1956; and he survives.
At the time of her retirement on Aug. 17, 1994, she was supervisor of the blueprint department for Delco Electronics. She was the first female supervisor at Delco.
Mildred graduated from Thorntown High School in 1955.
She enjoyed bowling, golfing, going to the casinos and corn hole games. She was an avid IU basketball fan.
Mildred went to all of her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's sporting events.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Cravens; daughters, Sandy Cravens (Steve Hunt) of Greentown, and Becky (Scott) Swisher of Greentown; five grandsons, Bryck Roush, Bo Roush, Brant Roush, Dakota Swisher and Ty Swisher; one granddaughter, Hilari Hunt; one great-grandchild, Rylan Roush; special niece, Catharine (Donnie) Hill; several nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Don (Vickie) Cravens.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James Bailey and Robert Bailey; two sisters, Frances Fairfield and Doris J Tuitasi; and sisters-in-law, Phyllis Dollard and Carolyn Riley.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, June 3, at Hasler & Stout Funeral Home, 112 E. Main St., Greentown. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 4, at the funeral home, with Terry Lindsay officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Greentown, following the service.
