Mr. Paul Harold Hill, 90, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. He was born in Indianapolis, on Dec. 5, 1926, a son of the now late Albert Hill and Irene (Kouns) Hill.
Paul graduated from Arsenal Technical High School. He then served in the United States Army during World War II.
Paul moved to Lebanon in 1952, and had resided there since.
On Aug. 16, 1952, he was married to Betty Jean Poole in Shelbyville. Betty passed away on May 25, 2013.
He had retired from General Motors, and during retirement he worked as a journeyman electrician. Paul also worked for Ace Hardware during his retirement.
Paul was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and enjoyed spending time with his family. His interests included camping, tinkering and the out-of-doors.
He was a member of the Lebanon Rock Church, Prospect Masonic Lodge #714, Boone County Shrine and the Scottish Rite in Indianapolis.
Survivors include two daughters, Terri Lynn Hill of Lebanon, and Beverly S. Nunn and husband, John, of Martinsville; four grandchildren, Nicholas Hill, Chalise Hawkins and husband, Tyson, Dillon Hill and companion, Lindsey Bulington, and Mariah Curet; great-grandchildren, Ziva Hawkins and Landon Hill.
In addition to his parents and wife, Paul was preceded in death by a sister, Luana Hill.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday, Dec. 19, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services with Masonic rites will be held at noon Monday at the mortuary. Interment with Military rites will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Boone County.
