Shirley Marlene (Hoffman) Johnson, 82, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Lebanon on Aug. 8, 1933, a daughter of the now late Philip Hoffman and Opal (Hayes) Hoffman.
Shirley was a lifelong resident of Boone County and a 1951 graduate of Lebanon High School. She had attended Purdue University.
She worked for the Lebanon Community School Corporation for 25 years.
Shirley was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and loved her family dearly and enjoyed vacationing with them.
Survivors include children, Sharon White and husband, Dan, of Lebanon, Leona Fearrin and husband, George Michael, of Lebanon, Michael Johnson and wife, Carol, of Jamestown and Elizabeth Barnard and husband, Rob, of Lebanon; grandchildren, Dustin White of Whitestown, Derek White and wife, Lexy, of Indianapolis, Mikie Fearrin and wife, Ann, of Lebanon, Tosha Fearrin of Crawfordsville, Chelsea Johnson Armendariz and husband, Jeremy, of California, Jake Barnard of Lebanon and Cody Barnard and wife, Minka, of Lebanon; great-grandchildren, Dawson White, Damon White, Viviann , Lucas, Devin Fearrin, Blake, Jade Fearrin, Sara (Fearrin) Miller, Gracie (Fearrin) Miller and Mack Smith; sister, Patty Hedges of Lebanon; longtime friend, Alma Sue Stults of San Diego, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by eight siblings.
A celebration of life will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, with lunch provided, at the Advance Community Christian Church, 2675 SR 75, Jamestown.
Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with arrangements.
Memorials may be made in her honor to a charity of the donor's choice.
