Susan L Henry, 68, of Jamestown, passed away on Oct. 18, 2016. She was born Oct. 1, 1948 to the now late Vincent and Martha Cors in Lafayette, Indiana.
Sue graduated from Southwestern High School in Lafayette and attended Purdue University earning a Bachelor of Science degree. She was employed as a Home Economics teacher & FHA Sponsor in 1970 by the Western Boone School Corporation. While teaching, she earned her Master's Degree from Butler University. After children (and sometimes grandchildren) of former students began taking her class, "Mrs. H" retired in 2003 after 33 years and a few exploded pies.
In 1969, Sue met Keith "Ed" Henry while showing horses. They were wed July 11, 1970 and made their home in Jamestown, Indiana.
Sue was an avid fan of Rick Mears & Dale Earnhardt Sr. She enjoyed gardening and high school football. She loved Snoopy & the Peanuts gang and never forgot to send a card on special days.
She is survived by her husband Keith "Ed" Henry of Jamestown; daughter Melissa (Chad) Borowicz of Pittsboro; grandson Aidan of Pittsboro; sister Debra (Kevin) Harmeson of Attica; & several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Oct. 30, 2016 from 1pm to 6pm at Cochran's Catering & Cakes in Jamestown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Salvation Army, or in Susan's name to your charity of choice.
