John Bradford Beeson, "DJ Johnny B," 69, of North Salem, passed away Monday, Sept. 22, 2014.. He was born in the back of a Model T Ford on Feb. 24, 1945, in North Salem, son of John and Frances Beeson.. He was a member of the North Salem Christian Church.. He retired from Allison Transmissions after 28 years. People knew him as DJ Johnny B because of his DJ business that he worked on the side.. Surviving are his mother; daughter, Amanda Eileen Abney of North Salem; son, Matthew Patrick Beeson of Indianapolis; sisters, Beverly (Dale) Gibson of Royce, Texas, Louise (Sam) Trinkle of Waynetown, Leola (Mike) Gregory of South Carolina, Sarah (Jerry) Long of Ladoga, Peggy (Tony) Guildner of North Salem, Linda Graham of Danville and JoEllen (Jim) Beeson of Monon; and grandchildren, Lyndsay Davidson, Lexi Rogers, Alec Beeson and Aiden Beeson.. He was preceded in death by his father, John Beeson.. Family and friends will gather from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at the North Salem Christian Church, 6 N. California St., North Salem. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at the church, with Pastor Rob Baire officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Fairview Cemetery, North Salem.
