Brownsburg, Indiana - Lisa Kay Oaks, 64, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025, at St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis. She was born on April 10, 1961, in Lafayette, Indiana; a daughter of the late Randall and Clara (Perry) Watson.
She met her beloved husband, Scott Oaks, in 1974 while detasseling corn in a field. Their bond grew and they were married in 1980; he survives.
Lisa graduated from Carroll High School in 1979. She was employed at Citizens Gas for 24 years and retired in 2025.
While in her youth she was a member of 4H, she raised and competed with sheep in the local county fair. She was also a member of choir and French club. While in the French club she was able to visit Paris. Lisa has always enjoyed playing board games and card games. In her free time, she enjoyed going to garage sales and taking vacations with Scott and their grandkids.
Survivors include her husband, Scott Oaks; daughter, Sarah (Ryan) McClintic; grandchildren, Ruby and Logan; brother, Christian Scott Watson; sisters, Nancy Sue (Rich) Harrell, and Annette Lynn (Dan) O'Connel; brothers-in-law, Curtis (Shanon) Oaks, Bradley Oaks, and Eric Oaks; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services are planned for 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow services at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
