Peoria, AZ - Ronald Luis Giles, beloved father, grandfather, and proud U.S. Marine, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, at the age of 86.
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on January 12, 1939, Ronald was the oldest of three children born to Ann and Luis Giles. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Ronald spent most his adult life in Lebanon, IN before retiring and moving to Peoria, AZ, to be closer to his family. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Ronald served his country with tremendous pride. His hilarious, dry sense of humor is what most people will remember. Even in his final days he was cracking jokes and making people laugh. He brought smiles and laughs wherever he went.
Ronald is survived by his two children, Ronald Giles and Jacki Giles Ruiz and by his three adored granddaughters (Hannah, Rebecca, and Mia), who knew him as both a protector and a fun grandpa. He is also survived by a loving sister-in-law, one niece, and one nephew.
Ronald's legacy is one of strength, laughter, and love. He lived with integrity, and it was the little things that mattered most to him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent de Paul.
