Steven A. Bowen Obituary

Steven A. Bowen, 71, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Deaconness Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. He was born February 6, 1954, in Lebanon, a son of the late Byron and Patsy (Newkirk) Bowen.

Steven was a graduate of Lebanon High School class of 1972. He had various jobs and worked several years at Prairie Industries. He enjoyed NASCAR and taking long walks. He was a member of the American Legion in Lebanon.

Survivors include: sister, Kathie (Dan) Ginn; brother, Jim (Denise) Bowen; nieces, Kasey (Greg Sikes) Ginn, Michelle (Nate) Rinzel, and Shannon (Jason) Vickery; great-nieces, Kendra Rider and Emi Harden; and great -nephews, Cameron Rider, Deven Vickery, and Alex Harden.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a younger brother, Bill and his wife; sister-in-law, Phyllis (Flood) Bowen; uncles, Fletcher and John (Phyllis) Bowen; several Newkirk aunts and uncles; and a nephew, Alan Ginn.

Steven will be laid to rest at Pleasant View Cemetery in rural Lebanon. Final care has been entrusted to the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
