W.W. "Bob" Myers
1917-2006
W.W. "Bob" Myers, 89, of Frankfort, died Monday, March 13, 2006, at Parkwood Health Care Center, Lebanon
Born in White County on Feb. 26, 1917, he was the son of Lewis and Alice (McGuire) Myers. He married Mary Lou Rauch on Dec. 27, 1939; she died March 15, 2005.
He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1936, and served in the Indiana National Guard. He worked as a farmer, and as a young man for the Nickel Plate railroad. He spent the winter months in Sanibel Island, Fla.
He was a member of the Antioch Congregational Christian Church, Frankfort Country Club, Men's Golf Association at the Frankfort County Club, former member of the Eagles in Frankfort, and a charter member of Beachview Country Club in Sanibel, Fla.
Survivors are children and spouses Pat and Dana Wayt and Terry and Sally Myers, all of Frankfort, a sister and brother-in-law Joan and Bob Alford of Columbus, Ohio; granddaughters Julie Myers of Indianapolis, Catherine Price and husband Kevin and Rene Joseph and husband David, all of Frankfort, Tracy Berry and husband Jerome of Augusta, Ga. and Megan Myers of Harrison, Ohio; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Services are set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, Pastor Dave Klipp officiating. Burial will be in Buntin Cemetery.
